WHERE VILLAGE BUREAUCRACY IS AT ITS MOST UNHELPFUL
WHERE VILLAGE BUREAUCRACY IS AT ITS MOST UNHELPFUL
Middle Woe was founded many centuries ago, though no one quite remembers when.
Records suggest the village grew prosperous trading turnips, though prosperity was quickly lost in cabbages.
Our parish motto remains: “All is well, unless the well is cursed.”
Today, Middle Woe is a Tudor parish of the most questionable distinction (c. 1563), governed by a council who take themselves Very Seriously™, where plague, confusion, and village chaos meet parish bureaucracy.
It continues to thrive on gossip, livestock gone astray, and notices of great importance pinned up for all to see.
Thank you for visiting Middle Woe.
We bid you safe travels… unless, of course, you end up in The Drunken Goose.
Middle Woe is a fictional, bureaucratically bonkers Parish Council, where village bureaucracy is at its most unhelpful, and with council notices that solve absolutely nothing, obvs.
